The major crux that most people will have about moving to PC gaming is losing access to console exclusives like Halo or Killzone. But the truth of the matter is that there are very few truly exclusive games. Most make their way to PC even if at a later date. On the other hand though PC gets many games that never release on consoles. Genres like MMO, RTS, 4X and turned based strategy have found a home on computers and rarely become multiplatform. That means you get access to great exclusives like the Civilization Series, the Total War series, Starcraft 2, The Witcher and Company of Heroes. Even more important are indie games. Unlike on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation where you get a small scattering of titles from independent developers, on Steam and Desura you have access to hundreds of brilliant titles. Amnesia: Dark Descent, Rogue Legacy, Cave Story, The Binding of Isaac and FTL: Faster Than Light are just a few examples of wonderful indes that are not available on consoles.
