10 Reasons Spider-Man PS4 Is The PERFECT Spider-Man Movie
7. Excellent, Memorable Villains
Spider-Man's massive collection of enemies is wide and varied, with many crossing over into over superhero stories. Some film efforts, most notably Spider-Man 3, run the risk of having too many villains to the point it damages the main story. But the enemies we see in Spider-Man complement the main story, rather than complicating it. There's a great sense of build-up here with the webhead taking on the Kingpin, Shocker and Tombstone at first, setting the stage for further appearances later on.
Insomniac chooses many well-known faces, while wisely choosing to keep the most popular ones back for a potential sequel.
For a majority of the title, Mister Negative is the main focus, and as an often underused villain who made his debut in 2007, his presence is both a challenge for Spider-Man and a moral conundrum towards Peter Parker, who respects him for his work on the FEAST homeless project.
Of course, things kick into high gear when the Sinister Six show up to ruin Spider-Man's day in the third act; it's a standout moment when they all gang up on our hero, showing that no matter how many times he's knocked down, Spidey keeps swinging back for another run.
