One of the difficulties in recreating the epic scope of a series like Star Wars in video game form, lies in making sure the conflicts feel just as meaningful. Fortunately, thanks to some great level framing and an understanding of the deepest reaches of the struggle between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire, this is something that Star Wars Battlefront does extremely well.

Every single mode feels relevant and important when you dive into one of Battlefront's various options. From 12 man skirmishes to 40 player assaults, everything in the game is built and crafted to feel like a believable part of the Star Wars story. Small fights feel as dashing and daring as they did in the films, while the larger battles are every bit as spectacular as on the big screen.

The bigger conflicts benefit from dynamic battlefields that have players advancing or retreating as the game wears on, and it's subtleties like this that feel the most effective when playing. Battlefront never lets you feel like you're just simply playing a game, and every single mode gives the impression of being embedded in the nitty gritty one of cinema's greatest war stories.
