10 Reasons The PlayStation Vita Was An Overlooked Gem

1. Remote Play

The most impressive feature the Vita has to offer is its Remote Play feature. While this feature is compatible with both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, it's the latter's functionality that is especially noteworthy. The remote play feature allows users to play PS3 and PS4 games on the handheld, with the library for the PS4 being particularly lucrative. Because who doesn't love being able to play their new favourite game while lying in bed?

Modern titles such as Marvels Avengers and also Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time both have this feature available and have special mapped controls for the Vita's dual touch screens. Remote Play also supports a second screen feature for the PS4, so you can use your Vita as a second screen/ second controller for local multiplayer with your library.

This feature was truly an innovative feature upon launch, and considering that 9 years later it is still compatible with most games being released shows that Vita users still have a large interest in being able to play home console titles on a handheld.
