7. Villains You’ll Love To Hate
Sephiroth might be an evil badass, but Kuja is a different style of antagonist altogether. You could actually use the word “fabulous” to describe his mannerisms if you so wished. He’s a complete arse through most of the game, but after a certain twist he can be seen as more of a tragic hero. At least, he can if you have any sympathy to spare.
The henchmen Zorn and Thorn, however, are unlikely to get any of your sympathy. As they wreak havoc and cause mischief, you’ll probably be tempted to throw your controller at the screen. But their dialogue is cleverly put together (they speak the same lines with inverted grammar) and to say they’re memorable would be an understatement.
The antagonist for a large portion of the game is Queen Brahne – Garnet’s mother. The struggle for Garnet to believe her mother is evil creates one of the biggest conflicts in the game. And, when this story arc comes to a head, the results are devastating.
