If for some reason you ever decide to engage in a heated discussion with a passionate Zelda fan, there is no surefire icebreaker than debating which game features the best dungeons. So, it's a testament to Twilight Princess that citing it as the very best of the series in terms of dungeons tends to draw less personal insults than the rest. Maybe that's because the dungeon designers of Twilight Princess went above and beyond to create a series of tombs and temples that didn't feel like anything else the series had produced. This is most immediately apparent in more epic locations like the floating City In The Sky or dungeons that make tremendous use of game-specific items like Arbiter's Grounds, but it is arguably Snowpeak Ruins that stands as the most impressive on offer. With its unusual homestead setting and mini-plot involving the house's inhabitants, there is no dungeon in all of Zelda quite as creative or intimate. Throw any bad words you'd like at Twilight Princess, but if you deny that these are some of the best dungeons ever put into a video game, you're just kidding yourself.
