Video games have evolved into one of the most profitable industries with loyalty and world-wide interaction. Video game companies know how to treat their customers right and keep them loyal to their product. However, like most good things, they do have their pros and cons. Games are a source of entertainment that shouldn€™t consume your life. Some of these may not apply to everyone and some may be bordering extreme, but sometimes the truth hurts. And now I present you with 10 cons:

10. Makes Failing in Life Harder

Beating a video game can be hard, but there is plenty of room for error. You die; you restart from the last check point. You screw up; you restart from the last check point. It forces you to learn from your mistakes and to not repeat them, which is a good thing that you can apply to reality. However the application is quite different. Life is not as easy as a video game due to the fact that in life anything can happen. In a video game, you can only screw up to a certain degree then have the chance to try again. There is no trying again in life; you screw up and you have to live with it. You do learn from your mistakes in life, but there will still be a wide arrange of completely different variables in the next similar problem you face. Video games set you up for success not matter what, it€™s not impossible to win. Life does set you up for success, but you certainly have to work your ass off for it and learn very quickly from your mistakes because there is no check point to restart from. An exception would be multiplayer games. You are never guaranteed success with them.
