10 Reasons Why Project Zomboid Is The Best Zombie Game Ever

6. Multiplayer can be Calming and Chaotic

Picture this. You and your friends have taken over a fire station in a small town, finding safety in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. You all have a nice routine going, collecting supplies occasionally. Eventually you realize that there are a lot of dead zombie bodies right outside your station, and them decomposing so close to where you work could make you sick. Since there’s so many of them, you decide to burn the bodies. What you and your friends didn’t realize is that fire can spread fast, and suddenly your fire station is being destroyed by its sworn enemy while you all scream at each other in panic.

This is something that can happen while playing the game, and perfectly encapsulates the beautiful mess that is the multiplayer mode. The multiplayer is incredibly new, only being officially implemented in December 2021. The mode is most likely to thank for Zomboid’s sudden rise in popularity, and for good reason.

You can calmly read books together or run through an apartment complex while being chased down like the delicious snacks you are. Surviving together is a blast, so feel free to drag your friends into the apocalypse with you.
