10 Reasons Why Sly Cooper Deserves A Reboot
2. The PlayStation 5 Coming Out
The PlayStation has been known in recent years to release very mature content along with a new console, with titles like Bloodborne being smash hits. As such, they could potentially do with some more child friendly games to go along with the new console.
Sly Cooper is the perfect sequel to place in this position, giving kids an introduction to the idea of antiheroes, while providing engaging game play and bright visuals. Not only this, but older fans of the series will be more inclined to purchase the new console in order to play the game as well.
In addition to this, the PlayStation 5 has stated that it will have backwards compatibility, allowing players to return to some of their favorite games from Sony. Although this is going to be limited at launch during the holidays of 2020, Sony has stated that it will continue to grow this compatibility on a title by title basis, bringing back some of the most popular games.
This will most hopefully include the previous four games in the franchise, giving younger gamers the chance to enjoy them the same way all of us did when we were kids. A smart marketing ploy on the part of PlayStation could result in many future purchases of previous games in the franchise, earning them much more money.
