10 Reasons Why We Love DOOM
1. The Confidence In Delaying Its Best Ever Game (For The Better)
There was a momentary shock-horror moment for Doom fans which came only a few weeks back. We were expecting the incredible looking Doom Eternal to hit our machines this November, but suddenly came the news that all ports would not arrive until April next year. As you can expect, the fan reactions were, well...
...extremely positive.
It's grown to be an all too familiar scenario that games/programmers suffer excessive rigour just for the sake of hitting deadlines. A lot of us are grateful that this happened with WWE 2K20, as the unacceptably glaring multitude of programming gaffs in that massively s**t game have made for some hilarious YouTube videos. Sad news, however for the fans who made the investment.
No such crime with Doom Eternal though, and big respect for all involved for ditching the Xmas flux in favour of making sure that the game is of the best possible quality. It proves infallibly that the company takes extreme pride in this title, and the fans are nothing but appreciative of that fact.
With this in mind, there is little doubt that Doom's future is bright, or should we say dark and scary.
