10 Reasons Why We Need A Resident Evil CODE: Veronica Remake

3. Alexia Ashford

Alexia Ashford is the main villain of Resident Evil CODE: Veronica but she doesn’t make an appearance until late in the game. However, she looms large over the events of the game from the shadows.

Alexia was bio-engineered for greatness in an attempt to recreate Veronica Ashford (a brilliantly gifted ancestor). Alexia already had disdain for mankind from an early age, believing herself superior to others (she graduated from university at the age of ten?!). So, when Alexia created the T-Veronica Virus and used it to transform herself, it only made her more dangerous.

Having infected herself with this new strain of virus she became a B.O.W. we’d seen little of up to that point in the series; namely one that retained full control over their faculties while also possessing the power of a Tyrant.

Once Alexia makes her full appearance in CODE: Veronica the game is gearing up for its final act and there’s little time for her to do much other than deliver ominous villain speeches and plot summations; the remake would do well to give what is already a compelling antagonist a little more nuance earlier in the game.
