10 Reasons Why We're Still Playing Skyrim

7. The Mod Community

This one isn't going to be true for everybody since console players won't have access to the thousands of Mods available for the PC version of Skyrim. For PC players, though, the endless user generated Mods that are available to customise the Skyrim experience are a sure fire reason to keep on playing the game even now. Skyrim has one of the best, and most imaginative, Mod communities out there at the moment. With customisations including TV and movie inspired weapons and armour, improvements to the colour palette and texture of certain landscapes and even additional creature behaviours to include dynamic fights between various different animals and species' taking place around you as you explore. Nobody knows what players want better than players themselves, which is why Modding of PC games proves so popular and why Skyrim's PC players continuously find good reason to delve back into the game. These Mods aren't just entertaining for PC players, though. Console players can see highlights of some of the best user created Mods in various YouTube videos and marvel at some of the incredible content that fellow players have made. A personal favourite of mine is the hilarious 'My Little Pony' mod that replaces the dragons in the game with those loveable ponies. Seeing them attack Whiterun has to be one of the most sinister things I have ever seen in the game, and it is definitely worth checking out!
