10 Reasons Xbox Series X Has ALREADY Won The Next Generation War Over PS5
7. Bulk
Aside from aesthetics, there are practical considerations here:
The PS5 is a big boy, to put it lightly. Especially when it comes to the Series S, and to a lesser extent with the Series X, you are going to have a far easier time finding a place under the tele for an Xbox than either of Sony's latest offerings.
Size is more important than it may perhaps at first seem: there's no point getting a system you physically don't have a good space for, and both of Microsoft's offerings are vastly more practical from that point of view than either of the PS5s.
Though the reasons for why the PS5s are such bulky boys are ostensibly justified, there still must linger the question of why there's such a difference between the two systems, Xbox and PS5, when the specs aren't miles apart.
Doubtless, some differences are due simply to attempts to distinguish themselves from each other, rather than any matters of utility. But that's hardly a good excuse when it comes to hardware: trimming the fat and making your design as sleek and efficient as possible is a far finer goal than mere difference for the sake of it.
