10 Reasons You Should Be Playing The Elder Scrolls Online

1. The End

The endings of Elder Scrolls games are usually all style and no substance. Oblivion had the showdown with Mehrunes Dagon, but you, as the player, never even fought him. Martin was the true hero of that story in the end. And fighting Alduin was just like any other Dragon.

But ESO…

The ending has stakes as you fight against Molag Bal, leading an army into Coldharbour. Before restoring an ancient city and leading your army deeper into Oblivion. Fighting through battlefield after battlefield, you and your closest friends destroy any hopes for Molag Bal ever completing his Planemeld. It’s epic and fast paced, and it feels like it has real stakes on the line. You feel like you are fighting this great evil, with losses within your ranks that only spur you on further.

But more importantly… its not even the true ending. As part of the five companions you go to fight the Daedric Prince yourself. Fighting against the god is a satisfying end. It’s difficult, its epic and its unique. The boss fight is like no other In the game and feels like the whole game is building to it. You, a mortal, is besting a god.

Defeating him is one of the most satisfying feelings in the game as you realise how far you’ve come. And how much more there is to explore. That’s about a third of the game. I know, its massive.
