Perhaps a little unfair to allow for additional content to be touted as a strength, but since they were so well embedded into the original's story it's difficult to imagine them as afterthoughts. For that reason, these excellent DLC packages have to be considered as one this game's big successes. Brining with them a new protagonist each time, both The Lost & Damned and The Ballad Of Gay Tony offered a look at Liberty City through different eyes to Niko's and the results were fascinating. While Johnny's story is a dramatic, hierarchical struggle, Luis' offered the kind of carefree chaos of earlier titles as players took control of the titular Gay Tony's assistant. These games brought with them some of the features that many players may have felt were "missing" from GTA IV and added even more depth and variety to Rockstar's turn in the big city. If anyone out there has ever judged GTA IV as inferior without having played these extras, then there's simply one thing to do... play them!
