10 Reasons Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Is STILL The Best Game Of The Generation

1. Side Content

And finally, what would a game be without its side content? While the main story is pretty standard for a Zelda game and you can technically speed run it under half an hour if you rush straight to the castle, what makes the game a true work of art is its incredible amount of exploration potential, secondary quests and fun new systems. While none of this is mandatory, it is certainly fun and any completionists will have a hard time doing everything there is to do.

With an initial 120 shrines full of varying puzzles and battles, and even more in DLCs, the game has its players racking their brains if they want to achieve more health and stamina. Each shrine has its own flavour and uniqueness, and they alone can take up dozens of hours of exciting and mind-boggling game play. However, that’s nothing compared to the gruelling task of finding all of the Korok seeds – there are 900 of them!

On top of that, there’s a system to upgrade armour, a dye shop to give you a new style, and an abundance of NPCs with quests for you. A personal favourite is the quest which allows you to gain your own house, and then the following quests which allow you to help populate and set up a new town. There are so many things to do in this game and there’s something for everyone.
