It's been seven years since Microsoft released the Xbox One onto the marketplace, and that means that it's high time for a next-generation model to find its way into our man caves and living rooms. The next model in the Xbox series has been revealed to be the Xbox Series X, and it's going to be a beast.

The console is expected to drop sometime in late 2020, and will likely feature a price point around $450 to $500. That's not cheap, by any standards, but when you consider the hardware that's going into it, most gamers won't blink twice at dropping that much money on a new console.

The Xbox Series X will have an AMD ZEN 2 as its CPU with a Navi chipset that's apparently 10% better than the GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card. This will enable the device to pull off real-time ray tracing, which PC gamers know all too well.

There will also be a built-in SSD, which will speed up the system considerably alongside its DDR6 RAM. Expect the Series X to support up to 8K resolution and 120 frames-per-second right out of the box. When it is released, it will be the most advanced console ever made, but it does have some competition.
