8. Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood

Battlefield 2042
Cyanide

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood follows a lycanthrope called Cahal who must stop a corrupt corporation from destroying the world. Not only can you fight and perform tasks in your human form, you can shapeshift into a wolf to track targets, infiltrate inaccessible areas, and most importantly, rip enemies apart with your fangs and claws until they're nothing more than a stain on the wall.

But somehow, the developers achieved the impossible and made a werewolf game boring. Every aspect of Earthblood feels underwhelming, whether its the rudimentary skill tree, the looping melodies, the button-bashing fighting, or the first-draft storyline. The one element that receives the most animosity is the janky animations, which look like they were ripped right out of 2004.

The stealth sequences are fun at first but there's nothing here that hasn't been done far better in Metal Gear Solid or Assassin's Creed. These sections also become dull quickly, encouraging the player to stop being sneaky and instead, just hack-and-slash everybody you see the instant you enter a new room.

Sadly, this method also wears thin. Shredding goons to pieces sounds cool but you'll be bored to tears after you've done it for the thousandth time.
