4. Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety

As mentioned previously, Spider-Man is a property that has been mined a dozen times over in the gaming world.

Despite some high points, Separation Anxiety was not considered one of them. Poorly reviewed and released on the cusp of a new generation of consoles, this seemed to be one Spider-Man game too many. Not that it stopped them from trying more.

A sequel to 1994's Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage, Separation Anxiety was available on the SNES, Mega Drive, and PC. Another side-scrolling beat 'em up, it allowed two players to play as Spidey and Venom in missions to overcome and defeat Carnage.

A quick look back on the game and the sprites just aren't as good in comparison to other beat 'em ups that were on the market. Not to mention its predecessor was merely released one year earlier. It's essentially the cartridge form of DLC. It'll still cost you a pretty penny on eBay though.
