8. Master Chief Dies! WHAT!
Halo didn't actually begin at #3, a shock to any Xbox 360 player, but had been around several years before and shortly after Halo 2, it all became clear the Halo 3 was "originally" meant to be the the end and as of this many rumours began to surface. These rumours only intensified when
trailers and stills started appearing, which led to a large portion of the Halo community being convinced that prior to its release, John-117 was finally going to meet his maker and be killed... This was not the case with Halo 3 having one of the best endings I have seen involving him being a total badass and flying into the "Forward Unto Dawn" via Warthog, then having a nap. Bungie gave us 2 more instalments after the trilogy which took us to a time prior to Chiefs arrival and then Bungie terminated their involvement with the Halo franchise. However, Microsoft saw an opportunity to make more money and 343 furthered production to make Halo 4, released in 2012 which was surprisingly good.
