10 Ridiculous Things We Just Had To Go With In Bioshock

7. Frank Fontaine 2.0

As is the tradition in most games, it's important to go out with a bang. In the original title, Frank Fontaine, our primary antagonistic fellow, goes out in grand fashion by injecting himself with massive quantities of ADAM, the genetic material that gives people scary weird powers. Our hero, Jack, after having been manipulated for most of the game by everyone from Andrew Ryan to Fontaine himself, enters the final battle arena to do battle with a man he once thought was helping him. Frank has, by this point, taken so much Adam that he has transformed into a massive, ADAM-powered creature of doom that you'll have to use your wits to best. In fact, Fontaine has actually taken so much ADAM he's almost immune to your attacks, requiring Jack to drain him of the valuable substance in order to have any chance whatsoever. By this point in the game, we'd seen a lot of crazy things, but Fontaine's final transformation may be one of the most crazy moments we witnessed. Sure, this happens all the time in games where the last boss transforms into an even more ridiculous final boss (see anything Final Fantasy for reference), but having a lunatic Fontaine with enough power to throw iron girders and now hopelessly addicted to ADAM, so much so he's hooked himself up to a machine that pumps it into him? Madness. Epic boss fight though.
