10 RPG Video Game Fates Worse Than Death
1. Anything And Everything With Molag Bal - Elder Scrolls
Dark gods can always be found in fantasy properties, and they're very rarely benevolent beings. Molag Bal, the God of Schemes and Prince of Domination/Enslavement of Mortals is (if the titles didn't give it away) a nasty example.
Suffering is the aim of the game with Molag Bal. This terrifying Daedric prince loves, loves, LOVES torturing humans, so it's hard to think of a fate worse than being on his bad side and ending up in his domain, Coldharbour.
There are many ways to wind up in this desolate realm, where the ground is made of sludge, and the sky is constantly on fire, yet the air is freezing. However, whether your soul is transported there or you simply walk down the wrong path, you'll soon come to wish you could die and fade into non-existence.
Bal will harvest, consume, dominate, and devastate any mortal he encounters, turning many into will-less, soul-less slaves known as Soul Shriven. These pitiful folk are forced to perform eternal labour, and are at the complete mercy of Molag Bal's whims.
You'll beg for your suffering to be over by the end. Will Molag let that happen? Don't count on it!
