10 Sci-Fi Games To Play While Waiting For Mass Effect 4

5. Deus Ex: Human Revolution

You may have heard of the Deus Ex series before. It's been around since 2000, with Mankind Divided being the latest offering in 2017.

While the former has an insane depth it hasn't aged well, and the latter shooting itself in the foot with its terrible apartheid metaphor and preorder system, there is a saving grace.

That being Human Revolution, the game prior to Mankind Divided.

It may have been a more linear experience that its series launch game, but it certainly wasn't lacking in things to do.

A branching narrative, semi-open world/hub-based gameplay, as well as a compelling story on natural versus augmented human lives, it's one of my favourite sci-fi adventures.

Whilst it had some initial kinks, the Director's Cut ironed out those, as well as offer the initially-daft concept of mid-game DLC as part of the overall game instead.

It's a worthy entry in anyone's library, blending Matrix-style long coats and glasses with a Syndicate level of corporate warfare, all with its own early franchise roots of Illuminati shenanigans too.

Considering Mankind Divided is also cheap now, following on from Human Revolution as one complete narrative is worth every penny.
