10 Secret Open-World Bosses Everyone Missed

9. Crustosteo (World of Warcraft)

Given every update and add-on released to date, it’s not wrong to say that there have been many iterations of World of Warcraft since 2004.

As secret foe Crustosteo demonstrates, however, they all retain the fantasy MMORPG’s knack for providing warriors, mages, dwarfs and other playable figures with a plethora of large opponents to seek and destroy.

The aptly named crab of chaos is one of WoW’s newest and most hidden prospects, however, introduced in 2022’s Dragonflight expansion as an inhabitant of the Lev’al Rock Isle section of Azure Span (near the southern coast). Consequently, only a fraction of WoW diehards have the ability to find Crustosteo, and even fewer know about the island because it’s shrouded in mist far into the horizon.

Admittedly, the beady-eyed red-and-gray crustacean isn’t tamable or even a part of any mission or achievement, and it doesn’t drop anything significant after it’s subdued.

That said, Crustosteo is worth stumbling upon anyway just to appreciate their cool design (complete with dragon skull armor) and admirable toughness. With roughly 450,000 HP and intimidating defensive and offensive moves to overcome (including fire), the level 70 beast surely provides one of the most fulfilling fights in the entire Dragon Isles.
