An all-time classic in the world of role-playing games, Fallout 1 was full of all kinds of secrets and special choices, which some of the players are still discovering to this day. One of those secrets was an alternative ending to the game.

At the end of Fallout's story, the Vault Dweller is faced with a choice: they can either defeat the Master of the mutants and save the day, or join him and doom the world.

If the player chooses the first option, the Overseer of Vault 13 will thank them for their heroic acts, but them force them to leave, fearing their example will inspire the rest of the vault's population to abandon their home.

Normally in this scenario, the good player will then leave the vault and become a forgotten hero of the wasteland. Sounds unfair?

Well, if you are dissatisfied with this ending, all it takes is an appropriate perk, or a low enough reputation with the Vault, and your character will automatically shoot the Overseer at the end of his speech. This way, they at least get something out of listening to the Overseer's every command.
