10 Secret Video Game Stories You NEED To Find
6. Braid - Constellation
As far as game concepts go, Jonathan Blow's time-bending platformer Braid is pure genius.
Conceptualised as a critique of contemporary video game tropes, Braid sees players as seemingly everyday protagonist Tim on a mission to rescue a princess from the clutches of a monster. To do so, players are tasked with solving a series of increasingly difficult puzzles utilising a time-rewinding mechanic.
Although the specifics about this game's plot and broader themes are purposefully left ambiguous, players have the chance to get a little more insight if they're able to collect eight stars scattered throughout the game to complete the Andromeda constellation visible near the protagonist's house.
But if you thought completing the main game's puzzles were difficult, brace yourself for a challenge guaranteed to eat up hours of your time. No really, to get just of the stars you'll need to wait hours of real time that could be spent playing the game for a cloud to slowly drift across a level in order to use it as a platform to reach just one star.
It will take a lot of skill and patience to collect every star, but we promise the effort will be worth it.
