10 Seriously Hard Video Game Bosses That Divide Fans
9. The Lord Of Doors - Death's Door
In Death’s Door's closing moments, you face The Lord of Doors – an entity who's closed the door to his own demise. This guy is a pain, since there are eight phases of this battle.
Although you get to save before the last part, The Lord's final assault is unbearable. As a result, you'll want to pummel the supposed immortal at every chance. Since you have to be beside him to deal some damage, you are always vulnerable while on the offensive. Also, the more times you strike The Lord, the more likely he'll hit back. Because of this, you have to gamble how many times you want to wail on the dark entity.
Although hitting him once each time sounds like the safe bet, it makes the battle drag on, making it likely you'll succumb to one of The Lord's many attacks. But if you hit the pseudo-deity several times at once, you're giving him more time to counter.
No matter what you do, it always feels like your fault when you lose. If you died while playing it safe, you're annoyed you didn't seize the moment. If you died while going in guns blazing, you're frustrated you weren't more cautious.
