1. The Hunt - Cyberpunk 2077

I’ve put this one at number one because it’s the quest I did recently that inspired me to write this list in the first place and it felt like I was literally playing through an episode of Hannibal so strap in because this one is extra nasty.

For this quest you’ll join forces with River Ward, a former detective and incidentally my V’s main squeeze in Night City. You’re on the search for his missing nephew Randy who you discover has been groomed online by a man called Peter Pan. The further you get down the rabbit hole of this one the more awful it gets and just when you think things can’t get worse you remember this game is written by CD Projekt Red and of course it can.

Your frantic chase brings you to an old cattle farm where you find the bodies of multiple drugged up and deceased young men.

You race from body to body trying to find River’s nephew Randy and save any of the boys who aren’t too far gone. It’s a gut-wrenching series of missions as things continue to get more insidious and in a game riddled with unforgettable horrors, this one probably tops them all.
