10 Severely Underrated Star Wars Games You Must Play

2. Star Wars Episode I: Racer (The Playstation Version)

Like I mentioned before, Episode I spawned a fair few actually good games, and here€™s another one: Star Wars Racer, which (as you may have guessed) is based around the pod-racing seen in the film €“which happens to be one of the best parts of the prequels. This pod-racing is seriously cool €“ the game manages to achieve an impressively immersive feeling of speed and tension, which is only improved by how well the controls manage and how tight and responsive the racer feels, especially given the limited resources available at the time. Cornering feels dangerous €“ mostly because you know that any wrong move will either send you catapulting into the walls, or facing the wrong way as everyone overtakes. There€™s plenty of different pods to choose from, and you can buy upgrades for any of them from Watto€™s shop (who comes complete with grumbling in that incredible accent of his) €“ as well as loads of different locations to race in as well. Suffice it to say, this one is pure gold €“ on par with, if not better than, racing royalty such as F-Zero. The GBA version... not so much.
