1. Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Not just some of the best Star Wars games, but some of the best games period (at least as far as RPGs go), the Knights of the Old Republic games are by far the standouts of the Star Wars games library. The second one is just a smidge better than the first so thats the one well focus on. The plot is one of the best things about the game the Jedi have been virtually wiped out by the Sith, and as an amnesiac who was exiled from the order ten years ago, you now have to find any remaining Jedi and restore the Order to fight against the Sith forces. Its an expansive and compelling story, spanning whole galaxies and dozens of planets. The characters and their development are also amazing, with one of them being completely and utterly unreadable in their intentions from beginning to end (and those who have played it will know who I mean), despite being a main character. You grow closer to your party members with each passing mission, and theres a genuine sense of camaraderie formed between you. The gameplay itself is slightly unintuitive, being a sort of real-time turn based system of battle involving rolling d20s for each action but like many games, its not too much of a problem once youve got to grips with it. You can upgrade your force powers, of which there are too many different ones to list, as well as your combat skills, as your preference goes so theres also a great deal of player customisation offered. KOTOR is essentially the complete Star Wars package, all wrapped up in one incredible game.
