It would be nice to be able to play as an animal in the next Animal Crossing game. But what would be even nicer is a game devoted entirely to Tom Nook, the money-hungry shop owner and real estate agent of the series. This is a man €“ or rather, a tanuki €“ with both eyes on the shiny, shiny dollar. It would be great fun to set up your various businesses after moving into a new village and devising the best ways to squeeze every penny out of the fluffy inhabitants. You could eventually gain the ability to boss around his nephews Tommy and Timmy, deciding what enterprise they should take control of next. Tom Nook earned our respect as a headstrong, smart businessman with an eye for making the big bucks, and it's high time he earned our respect as the star of his own series, too.
