10 Simple Ways Rockstar Could Ruin GTA 6

4. Adding Even More Protagonists

Allowing players to seamlessly switch between three different main characters was a risk worth taking for Rockstar in GTA 5. At first, it seemed like too much. How could people become invested in Franklin, Michael and Trevor? Well, as they normally do, GTA's brain trust smashed it.

Now, hopes are high they'll bring the multi-pronged dynamic back for another go-around in 6. There's no good reason why not, unless they're planning on expanding the number of chief protagonists. That would be an even greater risk.

The beauty of Franklin, Michael and Trevor was that they all felt unique. If Rockstar do decide to up the count to four, maybe even five protags, then there's a danger they'll dilute the individual appeals of each main character.

A layout akin to the wide cast of characters in story-driven games like Until Dawn, whilst expansive, doesn't seem like it'd suit Grand Theft Auto, so Rockstar must be careful. This is open world they're playing with.
