There is a mission in Starfield called 'First Contact'. Do we need to say more? Above and beyond the title, this is truly Starfield's trekkiest quest, and Paradiso is Paxau on steroids! The mission is ultimately about negotiation and diplomacy. How very Starfleet!

At Porrima II, you'll find a strange ship in orbit that's not answering hails. Dock, go aboard, and you'll be greeted by what resembles a trio of Starfleet's finest — it's Captain Brackenridge and crew, dressed in command red, operations yellow, and science blue! (You can grab yourself a set of those uniforms by the way, if you're stealthy about it.) This is the ECS Constant, a generational colony ship that left Earth nearly 200 years ago.

We've seen generation ships in Star Trek several times, as far back as For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky, but the c/Constant references don't end there. The ship's school gave us Next Gen/DS9 vibes, and did you spot "MOVIE NIGHT IN THE LOUNGE?" on the white board? Maybe Trip, T'Pol, and Doctor Phlox will join them!

The Constant also has a ship's counsellor, for Troi's sake, and a darker storyline that lies beneath the surface. Much like in episodes of Star Trek such as Half a Life and Emanations, members of the ECS Constant crew were required to make the ultimate self-sacrifice, in this case once they'd reached a certain age.
