Weren't expecting that were you! Oh, you were? Well alright then. But you probably weren't expecting the initial twist ending to Ken Levine's BioShock genesis. Perhaps that's what sullied Infinite so much for me. Knowing he'd try and do it again it would instantly lose impact, like going to see an M. Night Shyamalan film. If you really want to play with conventions these days, how about a game with no twists at all?

Still, it worked perfectly back in 2007. BioShock was critically noshed off for its hyper-stylised art design, unprecedented setting and of course, that intriguing plot. The morality system has also been pretty much killed to death now, but it felt weighty and real 6 years ago. The best in the series by far, don't you agree?
