When you think about a collector’s edition of a game, what come to mind? Perhaps a nice statue, or a t-shirt, or an art and design book? How about a real, metal locker? No?

The Anniversary edition of 2K’s NBA series came with just that, to store all of your other 2K games in. Generally speaking, you lock valuables up to keep them safe, but past editions of sports games are generally the opposite of valuable, fetching 50p trade-in value if you’re lucky.

It’s a novel idea, but not hugely practical. You’ve also got to be a bit of a Kobe Bryant fan, as the game comes with a (particularly small) figure of him, and a (particularly large) poster of him. Also included are a DVD on the history of the series, and a special invite to the Gold Room, an exclusive VIP lobby, which admittedly, is a nice little touch.
