7. DJ Hero

Dead Island
Activision

So we’ve got a game about being a professional DJ. What should be bundled with it? Perhaps an LP with some of the tracks from the game on it? No? What about a stylish t-shirt? Nah. Hey, how about a wearable Daft Punk helmet? They’re in the game! Why don’t we supply a full size flight case with legs? Sound daft? Tough, because that’s what came with the Renegade Edition of the first DJ Hero game. Okay, so it was a pretty cool, if slightly ridiculous idea, but at close to £200 it was a bit of a hard sell.

That’s not all it came with though. You got a special black and gold turntable controller, and a special CD pack featuring special tracks from both Jay-Z and Eminem. Which is great if you like Jay-Z and Eminem. But I didn’t. I still bought it anyway, as I wanted to feel like a real DJ Hero. And I did. I got a good bit of use out of my stylish new table too.
