10 Stupid Mistakes Video Games TRICKED You Into Making

7. Pushing The Button (Blasto)

Look, if you see a button in a video game that says "Do Not Press," what are the chances you won't press it? You could argue that this entry is a fallacy, as the game technically tells you not to make this stupid decision. But, come on, the devs knew what they were doing. They knew you were going to press the damn button.

Blasto is a PS1 platforming shooter from that oh-so-lovably frustrating era of early 3D games. It's not a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination. But it does pull a hilarious prank on gamers early on.

During the first level, you'll find a big red button with the words "Do Not Press" on it. As already established, this just gives you the burning desire to punch that button. What happens when you do? Well, Blasto, the mascot protagonist, is immediately vaporized. Hey, it said not to touch.

Hilariously, another such button can be found in level 2, but this one rewards you with extra health items and power-ups. Naturally, though, that second button gets far less action than the first.
