10 Talented Voice Actors You'll Find In All Your Favourite Video Games
2. Lex Lang - Crash Bandicoot, Rogue Squadron, Titanfall, Skylanders
The modern iteration of Dr Neo Cortex, Lex Lang has really come into his own throughout the last few years as a voice artist. He seems to be picky when it comes to deciding which roles he will take but you’ll no doubt recognise him from some of the bigger franchises in gaming – certainly of recent years.
Bizarrely, it all started for Lang in 1997 as he provided the voice for Gohan in the dreadful Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout. Clearly the usual FUNimation voice artist wasn’t up for the Playstation title leaving the door open for Lang. From there, his career picked up speed as he voiced Deke in Fear Effect 2, Han Solo in Rogue Squadron 3 and then his most frequent role: Dr Neo Cortex in Crash Twinsanity.
As time rolled on, Lang revisited Han Solo in Battlefront 2, Cortex in every subsequent Crash entry and secured several roles in the Mass Effect series. You’ll recognise his vocals mostly as SpyGlass in Titanfall and as Neo Cortex in the Skylanders series but don’t expect to hear him too often – he’s a picky bugger and there’s no indication of his forthcoming roles.
