10 Terrible Video Games Based On Movies

7. Street Fighter: The Movie (PS1/Sega Saturn)

The idea of a game based on a movie based on a game is never going to end well, but hey, at least it's consistent, in as much as, like the film, this game is absolutely dire. There's already an awesome bunch of proper Street Fighter games, but no, apparently we needed a digitised Mortal Kombat rip-off to remind us of how head-smackingly awful the Jean-Claude Van Damme-starring film was. Perhaps the saddest thing is that revered character actor Raul Julia has this as the last thing on his CV; that's right, he couldn't even go out with the lesser indignity of starring in the film - in easily the pic's best performance - but has his awkward presence here as an unfortunate footnote to a storied career. Furthermore, remember that when it was released, Capcom couldn't even bring themselves to publish it; they pawned it off to digital combat extraordinaires, Acclaim.
