10 Terrible Video Games That Tricked Us With Awesome Covers

1. Lollipop Chainsaw

Lollipop ChainsawWhat We Expected: A scantily-clad cheerleader wielding a chainsaw against a rabble of zombies: how could this game possibly suck? What We Got: One of the most disappointingly baseless video games I've ever played. Though the look of the game is evidently appealing, there's very little to the game's combat, such that within half an hour, it becomes repetitive and dull. It's not that anyone expected a game like this to be particularly sophisticated, but even relatively simple games like God of War manage to introduce elements to keep them fresh and exciting, whereas this is just a naff button basher that would barely pass muster as a cheap XBLA or PSN title. Some of the boss fights are kinda fun, but on the whole this title doesn't live up to the promise of its ridiculous front cover, but at around 5-6 hours in length, at least it doesn't take up too much of your time. Are there any awesome covers for awful games I missed? Let me know in the comments!
