10 Terrible Video Games That Tricked Us With Awesome Covers

5. Too Human

Too HumanWhat We Expected: Well, that dude looks pretty tough and cool, doesn't he? I can't wait to play as him and beat the snot out of some bad guys, whoever they are. The cover for Too Human may not tell us a lot, but that dude looks pretty bada**. What We Got: There are countless issues with the game Silicon Knights were working on for roughly a decade (it was originally planned as a four-disc PS1 game), and the biggest is probably the camera, which isn't operated by the now-usual right analog stick, but instead by a number of fiddly button presses, and then sometimes, the game will just supersede your choice with its own camera decision, which often will leave enemies attacking you off-screen. Then there's the fact that the game looked pretty dated even upon release in 2008 (likely a result of its long development cycle), as well as its relatively short length compared to other action RPGs. This isn't a game that feels like it's had a decade's worth of work put into it, and despite its decent elements, it's ruined by a supreme lack of polish that makes it more a chore to play than anything.
