10 Terrifying Warhammer 40K Creatures

Lictors are a large Cthulu-esque creature from the Tyranid race. They are a highly evolved from of Tyranid Warriors, deriving some of their horrifying qualities from these warriors. They have many different limbs, using the back most for transportation, and the front’s large scythe-like talons for to go in for the kill.

These creatures have evolved to become lightning fast hunters, being able to strike their prey within the blink of an eye. Taller than most men, these creatures have a bony hide that protects them from blows, provided you even see them coming. It sports a mouth of tentacles that are used to bury into the heads of those it has killed, retrieving sustenance to keep it going, as well as memories and thoughts to help it find where more prey can be found.

The preferred method of attack from Lictors is by sneak attack due to the chameleon properties of their skin. They can easily blend into any background they so choose, jumping out of hiding only to slaughter a group of fighters, and then disappear again. The only clues left behind are the mangled corpses of those that thought they could best these stealthy killers.
