Nurgle is the Lord of Decay in the Warhammer 40K universe. He is one of the four gods of chaos, him being the oldest of the entire group.

He is also considered to be a god of rebirth, since a lot of death and decay lead to this in the end. However, his large misshapen and bloated green body is nothing to gawk at. A large, fang-filled smile is all you see when you look at his head. Two large rotten antlers sprout from the crest of his head, and the spores and mold growing upon him are grotesque.

Nurgle is completely obsessed with unleashing death upon the world through disease, even going so far as to capture an Elven goddess and test his newest poxes upon her. However, she will whisper the antidote to those who need it, trying to keep the world from being torn apart from this horrific god’s actions. The idea of a decaying monster actively producing diseases that can completely wipe out an entire race of people is definitely something that will keep you awake at night.
