10 Things AEW’s Video Game Must Learn From WWE 2K22

3. Any GM Mode Needs More Depth

2K made a lot of noise about the return of GM Mode in 2K22. Rethought as 'MyGM', the feature isn't quite the banner moment most hoped it would be. It's hardly bad, and does actually click if you embrace the restrictive nature of it, but it's more of a fun distraction than a fully-fledged 'God Mode'.

AEW's mobile-only General Manager game was fairly flimsy too. Again, not poor, but it was the kind of thing you'll spend 20-30 minutes with every now and then rather than losing your life to it. If Yuke's want to captivate the audience who will be interested in their game, and maybe snag some folks over from the WWE side, then they'll need to build on that and 2K's effort.

Why not shoot for the stars?

Adding more depth to the template set in the mobile game and WWE's 'MyGM' mode sounds like a recipe for success. Gamers will want to micro-manage every aspect of their AEW world. Perhaps borrowing from Adam Ryland's old AEW/TEW titles wouldn't be a bad idea either.
