10 Things Battlefield 1 Already Does Better Than Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare
6. The Title (But Only Just)
Alright, stay with me on this one, because you might think it's a bit of a reach. Honestly, both titles are weak and seem like something of an afterthought. In the case of CoD, it was like they sat at a table and argued; "What's the next kind of warfare we can have? We've been modern, we've even been advanced... erm, how about 'infinity'? Infinite Warfare it is!" I understand it has to do with space being infinite and majority of the combat taking place in space, but it just sounds stupid and like a practical joke at first. It sounds like a parody you'd see on Conan or some satire show after looking at where Black Ops III was headed.Battlefield didn't knock it out of the park either, though. They took a page out of Microsoft's book and went with throwing "one" on an instalment that is far from the first. The development team has stated the name came from the decision to place the game during World War I, which was the "dawn of all-out warfare." Yeah, it makes sense, but it's still weak, especially when in conversation. "Battlefield one? No Battlefield 1!"
It's the Xbox One all over again. If we are picking the lesser of two evils at this point, Battlefield 1 edges ahead of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, but only just.
