One of the many things people didn't know about Robin Williams, the veteran actor and comedian, was that he was a huge nerd. Seriously, the dude adored comic books and other dorky stuff but, beyond that, he was a huge gamer. To the point that he named his first born daughter "Zelda" after "The Legend Of". His all-time favourite game, however, was Half-Life 2, and apparently there were long-standing plans to try and get him in to voice a character in an upcoming instalment of the series; sadly, he and Valve couldn't line up their schedules, and so it never happened. Stranger still is the fact that Quentin Tarantino count the series amongst his favourite games, too. Where does the dude find the time to play video games in between writing a bajillion scripts and watching endless crappy grindhouse movies that nobody enjoys but him? Not a clue, but apparently he does, and has expressed an interest in making a Half-Life game someday. Given his propensity for extreme violence, profanity, and old-school special effects, he might just be the right man for the job. Especially if he plays it as a homage to John Carpenter's sci-fi horror The Thing which, c'mon, you just know he could talk about for at least five hours without a breather.
