10 Things Everybody Hates About AMAZING Video Games

8. Weapon Durability - The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an all-timer game in every way that one can be, though the weapon durability mechanics remain fiercely contested by players.

Basically, almost all of the game's weapons have a pathetic durability level, ensuring they'll break after a short amount of time, and because there's no way to repair weapons in Breath of the Wild, you're forced to just... pull out another weapon.

Producer Eiji Aonuma has maintained that the decision was made to force players to think strategically about combat, rather than relying on a single weapon for the entire game, but the feature is dialled way too aggressively against the player.

Having a weapon break mid-battle is more annoying than enticingly challenging, and to many feels like a cheap busy-work obstacle to make the game artificially more difficult.

It has its defenders, for sure, and it seems unlikely that Nintendo will remove the feature for the upcoming sequel Tears of the Kingdom, but millions of fans sure would love them to.
