7. Yes, It's Not Just YOUR Tools That Are Breaking

Every crafter has to start somewhere, right? Villagers don't just show up to island life, capable of making masterclass tools like some Skyrim blacksmith. You'll use all manner of tools, durable or flimsy, and they'll work greatly towards your cause. Armed with an ax, shovel, net, and fishing rod, there's nothing you CAN'T do!

Well, that's what you expect initially until you break that sleek new ax or fishing rod quicker than you expected. 'But, but, I was supposed to conquer the seas and forests with these new tools,' you think to yourself. Alas, while they're not on the level of the infamously-fragile weapons seen in Breath of the Wild, you will have to regularly rebuild new tools, especially if you're an eager adventurer who's constantly whacking away at trees and digging up potential treasures.

Is it a pain? Yeah, but the game's got to keep you scavenging or else it loses a core element of what makes daily playtime constructive. You may be operating with the highest level of tools and items that'd make a caveman's mind explode, but in order to craft a big boy ax, you gotta start from the bottom, and suddenly those tree branches are helpful again. That being said, not really clear why my NET keeps breaking somehow, but whatever.
