10 Things Red Dead Redemption 2 Must Learn From GTA V
9. Enact Heist-Style Train Robberies
The much talked-about 'heist missions' were one of the biggest selling points for GTA V in the lead up to release, especially since we'd gotten a few tastes of how they were going to go down thanks to Vice City's bank mission, San Andreas' casino break-in, and GTA IV's Heat-style subway-getaway. In the final game though there wasn't anywhere near as much customisation as we'd been led to believe, instead the planning stages of these missions came down to a handful of 50/50 options, and nothing more. Some people loved them regardless and others just slogged on through, but what if we take the idea of a pre-planning out this style of mission, and apply it to Red Dead? Surely the best implementation would be to build upon the fantastic 'Great Mexican Train Robbery' mission, letting us get crews together, supply them with different weapons, and even station certain characters at key points on the map to hold up the vehicle so we can climb aboard. This mission was one of the most exhilarating in the original game, and a smattering of these throughout an incredibly beautiful next-gen world would be a great way of doing some large-scale missions in the technology-restricted world of Red Dead.
