10 Things The Perfect Star Wars Game MUST Include

1. Realistic Weapon Physics

The lightsaber is the tool of the Jedi and the weapon of the Sith. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster, it is an elegant weapon - according to Obi-Wan Kenobi in A New Hope - but according to virtually every Star Wars game ever, it's more of a blunt club used to beat enemies to death.

Consider The Force Unleashed. Slews of Stormtroopers fall to Starkiller's blade but not one ends up with any evidence that they were dispatched by a lightsaber. No scorching and no dismemberment confirms that the ESRB/PEGI rating has always been more important than ensuring the weapon physics are accurate to the canon.

The Phantom Menace showed us just how lethal a lightsaber can be as not only did Qui-Gon Jinn attempt to melt his way onto the bridge of the droid control ship but Obi-Wan cleaved Darth Maul in two and watched his halves drop down a power room shaft.

The case against realistic lightsabers is pretty strong as they would become the most overpowered weapons imaginable but Knights of the Old Republic got around this by introducing Vibroblades - swords made of Cortosis-weave that could stand up to the blade of a lightsaber.

Hell, why not make armour out of Cortosis too? You know, like we used to in Legends?
